LB ACT was originally known as 'LB Casting' - an adults background agency for commercial, film & television. In 2019 LB Academy launched in Leeds along with a personal management agency (known at the time as LB Actors Management).
The LB brand was founded by Managing Director
'Craig Womersley' after coming from working in the film and television industry. From his university days Craig always aimed towards working within casting and in 2017 he decided to take the leap and launch his own agency. Over the years LB Casting became a well established agency in the North West of England and supplied thousands of background artists and walk-on's for many commercials, films and television shows. Craig also has a background in working with children and decided in 2019 it was time to open the doors to children and teenagers within the local community, so he launched a brand-new performing arts school in West Leeds. With the amazing talent that the school has to offer, Craig and his team then expanded and opened an acting based academy in Halifax, West Yorkshire. New to 2022, LB Academy now has a third academy operating in the South Leeds area. Supporting all three academies is LB Talent, an in-house talent agency providing sole representation for LB Academy students.
At the start of 2021, LB Casting rebranded to LB ACT and after a tough year in 2020 with the global pandemic they are now ready to make the most of the upcoming future.
